The residential bum, Kendrick Perkins, might be the worst player in the playoffs right now. Soon he may be the worst ever! When you consider that he's a starter... He's avg. 2.4 Turnovers to 2.3 points He has PER of -0.3 WS: -0.3 WS/48: -0.100 Combine his absolute uselessness on the offensive end to his inability to stop Gasol and he is the most useless player in the playoffs. Especially since he's a starter. He's playing worse than Jermaine O'Neal in 2009/2010 playoffs...
Sam Presti may be a front office wizard but he messed up big time sticking with Perkins and taking all those mils from their salary cap. To think they could've had Harden right now, smh...
*jaymee I get his logic, he wanted to stay big because the west is big. Having Ibaka and Perkins is a bonus, but when Perk can't play anymore, you gotta cut your loses. ~Venom
Perkins got a lot of hype because of having one good playoff series defending Dwight Howard in 2010. He was really only good because of the defensive system the Celtics played and due to their help defense. Since then he's really been a straight up bum. Useless on both ends of the floor. Jeff Green is slowly starting to emerge as a solid player. James Harden is a superstar. And in the end the Thunder are going nowhere.
Perkins is so fucking bad. They should have dumped him last offseason. RIP OKC's Johnny Harden thanks to Perk
It also annoys me greatly that Brooks won't even adjust his lineup and play him 30 minutes a night. I've been saying it since the Finals last year, Collison needs not only to play more than Perk but also start over him with Ibaka at center. It's become rather ridiculous.
Hit corner 3's and defend would be all they need. Rather have him guarding LeBron than Thabo. Plus it would give them the extremely important option of going small in todays NBA.
Great move by Ainge he got a good, young player in return for a bum. Perkins is definitely going to have to get amnestied after this season. They are going to have to look for a better big man.
