Death-defying clips from the 2008 Cooper’s Hill Cheese Rolling and Wake, where every year fearless competitors from around the world tumble down an almost vertical hill in Gloucester, UK, chasing an 8lb Double Gloucester Cheese.
I demand cheese rolling to be part of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. If curling is considered a sport, there’s no reason why cheese rolling/chasing shouldn’t be. It requires athleticism, endurance, agility, and everything else all the great sports require.
These men and women risk their lives for a piece of cheese!! You might call them crazy, stupid, or even mentally retarded. I call them heroes.
