Where does T.O. now G.O.

Put down your cup of coffee, and getcha popcorn ready, you heard it right on ESPN this morning. The Dallas Cowboys officially released their star wide out, T.O.  Better than getting into the reasons why they released a premadonna-egodriven-attention loving player better described as locker room cancer; let’s try to examine where T.O. should go and more importantly, where he probably will go.

The list is short of potential teams simply because he burns bridges where ever he goes. However after hearing the news I’m sure everyone tossed around the idea that both Philly and SF could use a deep threat. You can scratch Philly right now, not with McNabb and Reid still there. San Francisco is a little different to me, it was a long time ago, and the Niners are literally desperate for a star. The chances of that happening is still slim though, only for the mere fact that Singletary would rip his soft-like-tissue personality to shreds the first time T.O. steps out of line. Vernon Davis didn’t even get the half of it.

So what’s left on the miracle go round? You cannot talk about a dysfunctional player without talking about the most dysfunctional NFL franchise, the Oakland Raiders. I can just see Al Davis waking up from his daily coma right now after hearing the news from Dallas, “Wait who? That young boy Terrell is a free agent? How much cap space do we have left?”.  We’re talking Randy Moss v2.0 here, only this time it’s worse with TO. He could never go to Oakland, well only if it was his last resort, simply because everyone knows Oakland really is the Black Hole for your career.  However pairing JaMarcus Russell with TO would be a great match for both players, they each compliment each others best skills. Still, this deal doesn’t make sense unless there no other bidders.

So who else is left? Kansas City? No because he burnt the bridge with Tod Haley. Miami? No, because “the player that shall not be named” burnt his bridge with Mr. Parcells. Chicago is focused on defense, Balitmore has too much dignity, the NY Giants learned their lesson with Plaxico, and Cincy already has their premadonna with Ocho Cinco.

The only city left, with the perfect balance of craziness, talent, and potential is Washington. So get out your check book Daniel Snider. You paid 100 mil for Haynesworth, what’s another mil or two? The Redskins have a good QB, a good WR and TE to compliment Owens, and a solid emerging defense to support the offense. Plus the most important factor is Snider is more than willing to take that risk to win. It really just makes too much sense.

But hey, if it doesn’t work out for TO anywhere else. He can always go back to lifting weights in his driveway.
