Devin Hester Signs 4-Year Deal With Bears

Chicago will be breathing a sigh of releif as the attacking, elusive weapon that is Devin Hester signed for another 4 years. Contract values are up to $40 million over 4 years, with $15 million in bonuses and a possible $10 million in his final year of the contract, in 2013.
Hester was reluctant in signing the deal as tensions grew within the Bears locker rooms, between staff and agents, however the deal was made after practice on Sunday. Expectations from the Bears coaching staff is to play Devin in a more attacking role than previous years, giving him more opputunity to use his amazing skills and devastating offensive arsenal. The deal will put a stamp on a dangerous Bears offense and Special Teams, making for an exciting year in the league, and for the rest of Hesters’ 4 year deal.
Hester entered the league in 2006 drafted by Chicago, making a impact in a short time, as a kick returner. Hester holds the league’s all-time record for most kicks returned for a touchdown in a season (5), and holds the second longest return touchdown of 108 yards.
Chicago kicks off their pre-season with their first match next Thursday at 8PM, against Kansas City.
