With the World Series of Poker well underway at the Rio in Las Vegas, we thought we’d take this moment to share with you 10 reasons why you won’t be winning this years WSOP main event.
You believe a FLOP is something NBA players will be fined for next year
Word going around is that Celtics superstar Kevin Garnett may be been carrying on a long-term relationship with a former Minnesota Timberwolves dancer named Krissy.
The relationship, according to the rumors, has been going on for nearly 4 years.
With Kobe Bryant getting all the publicity for his rumored affair with an ex-Laker girl, The Big Ticket Kevin Garnett decided that he needed to step his game up and get on the rumor wagon as well. What better timing for an affair rumor than the day before Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Nice going Big Ticket…or should I say Big Cheater. Your thoughts?
The Lakers and the Celtics; two storied franchises with a rivalry that dates back generations. For the majority of the players in this years NBA finals, the rich tradition of these battling foes is but a legend of stories told and videos seen. Expect an intense matchup, fierce competitiveness, and a driving desire to be crowned the NBA’s best. BUT don’t expect:
Nope my friends, this years edition of the Lakers / Celtics can’t offer any of that goodness. So that begs the question…Are you going to watch? Damn we miss those booty shorts! =(
Detroit’s Rasheed Wallace was fined $25,000 Thursday by the NBA for using profanity and criticizing the officiating after a playoff game the night before.
Like the universe, there are just certain things about Rasheed Wallace that I will never understand. For one, what’s up with that 1 little patch of blonde hair on the back of his head. Why doesn’t he dye that thing? I personally believe the “birth mark” is actually a homing beacon for channeling technical fouls. And speaking of technical fouls, does Rasheed try to rack up as many as he possibly can? It’s game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals and you’re one technical away from being suspended, so what do you do? A) Swallow your toungue. B) Be quiet. C) Shut up. D) Run your mouth at the refs all day long and TRY to get that last technical. Chances are you chose A, B, or even C. But chances are also that you are not Rasheed Wallace, who would have chosen D.
Let’s take a look at Rasheed being angry at someone other than a ref.
Don’t shoot the messenger, but our dreams of seeing our favorite sideline beauty (No not Cheryl Miller) in Playboy seem SQUASHED. Steve Andrews, father of ESPN reporter Erin Andrews, adamently rejects any possibility whatsoever of our busty blonde sidelines reporter ever being in Playboy. To quote the overprotective, dream-crushing S.O.B. of a father, “…hell will freeze over before she ever would be in Playboy for anything else.” Thankfully he didn’t rule out Penthouse.
The hearts of many a young men have been broken with this news today…But at least we have photoshop. And for the perverted old men of the world, you still have your imagination.
The NBA announced to its teams this week at its annual pre-draft camp that fines will be imposed on players starting next season for clear cases of “flopping,” ESPN.com has learned.
How dare the NBA impose this rule on their players!? Somewhere, Vlade Divac is rolling in his grave….he is dead, right? Anywhom, I, for one, am 100% against this rule. Flopping is a part of the game just as much as Vlade is a part of the clouds in the heavens…he is dead, right? Instead of mourning this, we will celebrate it by reliving the top 5 flops in recent NBA history.
PS - RIP Vlade Divac <3
#5 Flopper vs Flopper
Manu Ginobili vs Raja Bell. You know it was only a matter of time until one of them flopped their way to a foul call. In this case, Raja Bell sold his flop so well that even Ginobili was surprised. It’s okay Manu, you’ll get him next time.
